Evelyn M. Kaukl, age 85 years, of Madison and formerly of the Hillsboro area, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. 

She was born on May 27, 1924 to Emil and Julia (Janousek) Kaukl at Yuba, Wisconsin.  Evelyn has lived at Madison for many years where she worked as a bank teller.  She was a member of the St. Dennis Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, reading and traveling. 

She is survived by her sister, Bettie (Jerry) Kryshak of Green Bay; a niece, Vicki and nephew, Kevin; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her Parents; a nephew, Greg; aunts, Elsie Cervenka, Tillie Rimmer, Helen Janousek, and Emma Janousek; and an uncle, Adolph Janousek. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Dennis Catholic Church in Madison, with Father Kent Schmitt officiating.  Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.  Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.  The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro assisted with arrangements.
