NEWSThe news of criminal complaints with the former owner of Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc and theft regarding individual’s funds and the supposed irrevocable funeral trusts he established has been released.
The most recent release from the Juneau County District Attorney’s Office is what I need to become known.
*****From District Attorney Kenneth Hamm - If you or someone you know feel they have been victimized by Thompson Funeral Home or if you have additional information, please contact the Wonewoc Police Department at 608 464-3114
I recently wrote letters to those funeral trust depositors that have deposited funds in previous years with the Thompson Funeral Home, but there seems to have been a period of time from 2013 to 2017 where not all of these funds were actually deposited.
Very few copies (if any) of any documents that were supposedly established in those four years of 2013 to 2017 were left with the new owner and the previous owner still has not been forth coming regarding any of the signed documents when asked.
I am very sorry for anyone to have to go through with something like this and I apologize as much as I can. What once was a highly respected and trusted name, Thompson Funeral Home when the Thompson family owned and operated the business, is what I intend to operate in the Wonewoc community.
In addition to contacting the Wonewoc Police Department, if anyone has any questions or concerns for the Picha Funeral Home in Wonewoc, please feel free to contact me as well at 608-464-7464.
I can’t stress enough that very little or no paperwork was left with me so I don’t have any way of knowing who might be affected by this action, just by luck, some have made contact and in reviewing older files did some of these accounts become noticeable.
Sincerely, Alan Picha
The Picha Funeral Home purchased on September 29, 2017 the former Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc.
