Sarah M. Warsaw Thayer, age 40 years, of Mauston, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the UW Hospital in Madison.
She was born on August 5, 1978 to James and Brenda (Parks) Warsaw in Hillsboro. She grew to adulthood in Kendall and graduated from the Royall High School in 1996.
Sarah was working as a Correctional Officer at the New Lisbon Correctional Facility, where she was well liked with many co-workers as good friends.
Sarah loved her children and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed campfires, knitting, traveling and her dog, Addi.
Survivors include her children, Nicole Thayer, Nathan Thayer and Anthony Thayer; mother, Brenda Johnson (John Slama); adopted father, Kevin Reynolds; sisters, Rachel (Barry Daly) Reynolds and Katie (Cevin) Keltner; grandparents, Dr. Vernon and May Parks and Helen McDonald; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Warsaw; grandparents, Jack and Bev Warsaw and cousin, Erin O’Brien.
A celebration of Sarah’s life will take place with a visitation to be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy. Interment will be at a later date in the Glendale Cemetery in Kendall.
