Wilhelmina H. “Willie” Knadle, age 95 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.
She was born on July 15, 1922 to Wencil and Mary (Rott) Kolash in Greenwood Township, where she grew to adulthood and attended school.
Willie was united in marriage to Emil Knadle on February 16, 1944 in the Congregational Parsonage, a marriage that lasted 72 plus years. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2017.
They worked together on the family farm until 1981 when they moved into Hillsboro. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church and always helped in the Church Kitchen.
She will be remembered for her generous and loving ways, her wisdom and dignity. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include a son, Donald; granddaughter, Tracy Kirk (James Laehn) and great grandson, Robert Stene. In addition to her husband, Emil; she was preceded in death by her Parents; daughter-in-law, Joan Knadle; great granddaughter, Beth Kirk; and two sisters, Helen Herbeck and Agnes Tydrick.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, with Pastor David Bordy officiating. Friends may call at the Church on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place later at the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.
The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro assisted the family with arrangements.
