Geraldean D. “Gary” Heding, age 84 years, of Union Center, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at her home in Union Center, Wisconsin.
She was born on December 31, 1932 to Gerald and Sylvia (Machovec) Kopenhafer. She graduated from the Hillsboro High School. Geraldean was united in marriage to Donald Heding on June 24, 1951 in Hillsboro.
They resided in Union Center, where they owned and operated Spring Valley Golf Course and Supper Club since 1960. Don preceded her in death on May 25, 1997.
Gary was a hard worker, found often at Spring Valley, she also enjoyed golfing, entertaining family and friends, and spending winters in warmer climate. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her sons, Jack (Linda) Heding and Scott (Carol) Heding; grandchildren, Ericka Roethe, Alex Heding and Chad Sake; great granddaughter, Lexie Sake; sisters, Vicki Fey and Patsy Ravenscroft; sister-in-law, Darlene Kopenhafer and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Don; she was preceded in death by her Parents; sisters, Marvaline Davis and Sharon Hemerly; brother, Edward Kopenhafer and step brother, Larry Wyman.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in the Millards Prairie Cemetery, rural Elroy. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
