Edward A. Lange, age 65 years, of rural Wonewoc, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.
He was born on January 11, 1953 in Hillsboro, the son of Arthur and Dorothy (Springer) Lange. Edward married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Bonnie Schwichtenberg, on June 17, 1972.
Edward spent all of his life in Wonewoc. He worked at Ray-O-Vac in Wonewoc for 26 years. He then decided to go into business for himself. He and his wife owned the Elroy Theatre. In 1998, they purchased the Wonewoc Bakery. Ed was an amazing baker with much talent. Ed was a cemetery caretaker for 46 years. He took great pride in his work. In his retirement he was blessed working at the County Market baking. He had amazing co-workers and truly enjoyed it. Ed was a man of few words and whenever asked how he was, the answer was always fine. He had a giving heart and would go out of his way to help anyone he could.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie; his children, Shannon (Bekki) Lange of Wonewoc, Tiffany (Charles Jr.) Fronk of Hixton; grandchildren, Roman and Sophia Fronk and Savanah Lange; brother, Robert Lange of Wonewoc, sister, Debra Lange of Wonewoc; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; in-laws and brother-in-law, Thomas Schwichtenberg.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wonewoc, with Rev. Peter Snyder officiating. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home, 402 Center Street, Wonewoc on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
