Judith “Judy” Ann Beaver, age 74 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
She was born on September 6, 1943 to Oscar and Alida (Lunde) Engh in Viroqua. She graduated from the Viroqua High School and later Cosmetology School in Madison. Judith was united in marriage to James Beaver on July 8, 1968 in Mauston.
She was a hairdresser at beauty shops in Janesville and Elroy, worked as a clerk in Jensen’s Grocery Store and later in Day Care. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering her time at the Good Samaritan Thrift Store. Judy was an avid coffee drinker, passionate reader, loved to knit afghans and baby sweaters for family and friends, enjoyed morning puzzles in the paper and beating Jim at dominos.
Together with Jim, this hardworking homemaker and loving wife raised five children, Teresa (Dave) Curtis of Hillsboro, Pamela (Joe) Stanek of Hillsboro, James (Terra) Beaver of Mauston, Paula Beaver of Hillsboro and Krista (Heath) Revels of Elroy. However, her greatest joy of all was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Ani (Matt) Chroninger, Donica (Chris) Dooley, Ally Curtis, Brooke Stanek, Hunter Stanek, Marissa Beaver, Breanna Beaver, Allison Beaver, Abigail Beaver, Sebastian Smith, Owen Revels and Hudson Revels; and eight great grandchildren, Aiden Curtis, Katrina Dooley, Caitlyn Dooley, Daniel Dooley, David Dooley, Brian Dooley, Kyson Chroninger and Korbyn Chroninger. She also shared a special relationship with sisters Annetta Schultz and Darlene (Laurel) Hestetunee, sister-in-law, Barb Engh and brother, Orlin (Sharon) Engh. She was preceded in death by her Parents and brother, Arthur Engh.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting.
