Mary
A. Filter, age 70 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday, February 13,
2010 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
She was born on November 18, 1939 to Harold
and Bessie (Janecek) Lind at Hillsboro. Mary was united in marriage to Ronald
Filter on September 17, 1960 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. They
farmed in the Township of Wonewoc for many years and moved into Hillsboro in
1987. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1989.
In addition to her help on the farm, she was
also a homemaker and when living in Hillsboro helped with house cleaning for
different families. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and
watching the birds.
Survivors include her son, Roger (Mary Beth)
Filter of LaVista, Nebraska; daughter, Judy (John) Anderson of West Lima;
daughter-in-law, Debbie Filter of Mankato, MN; grandchildren, Gib, Ember, Jasmine, Jenelle, Kathy (Duane), Kevin (Sue), Laura,
and Lisa (Joel); great-grandchildren, Heather, Dustin, Grace, Gabriel, and August;
brother, Robert Lind of Madison; and sisters, Margaret Liska of Wonewoc, Betty
Clark of Cashton, Sharon Schwarz of Franklin Grove, IL, and Linda (Terry) Gunder
of Camp Douglas. In addition to her husband, Ronald; she was preceded in death
by her Parents; stepson, Lawrence Filter; and sister, Alice Jensen.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at
11:00 a.m. at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Conrad
Prell officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Tuesday from 5:00 to
8:00 p.m.
