Robert M. “Mike” Cavin, age 62 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at home with his wife by his side, following a battle with small cell lung cancer.
He was born on December 18, 1957 to Robert R. and Mary Ellen (Visgar) Cavin in Harvard, Illinois and graduated from the Harvard High School. He served in the U.S. Army for two years.
Mike was united in marriage to Harriet Rucker on June 28, 1996 in Woodstock, Illinois.
Mike was a car enthusiast and worked doing restoration on many cars and motorcycles among other items, along with his hobby of model cars. He also worked in carpentry construction.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet; children, Melissa Cavin, Anthony Cavin, Robert (Alicia) Cavin Jr. and Cheri Hemphill; sister, Debra (Craig) Lenhart and brothers, Gary Cavin, Chris (Joan) Knowles and Scott (Tammy) Knowles.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; daughter, Mary Kay Cavin and brother, Steve Cavin.
A time of visitation celebrating Mike’s life will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
