Richard N. Martin, age 79 years, of rural Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his home.
He was born on March 17, 1942 to Clarence and Alma (Schindler) Martin in the Town of Wellington, Monroe County, Wisconsin. He attended South Ridge School and graduated from the Wilton High School in 1960.
Richard farmed in his younger years and worked for many years at the Hillsboro Farmers COOP in the feed mill until his retirement.
He enjoyed gatherings with his family and friends, especially the holidays. Richard loved fishing and hunting, along with the trips out west Elk hunting. He was always up for time with his son, charter fishing, just long talks and a lot of laughs. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Troy (Peggy) Martin; grandchildren, Stephanie Townsend and Ian Buckner; great grandchildren, Briar, Jesse, Lexie, Phoebe and Christian; siblings, Roger (Martha) Martin, Clarence “Butch” (Linda) Martin, Gail Ann (Chuck) McCracken and Dale (Jeanette) Martin and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and brothers, Norman and Harlan Martin.
A time of visitation to celebrate Richard’s life will take place on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
