Dennis A. Williams, age 74 years, of Elroy, Wisconsin, went home to be with the Lord during the early hours of Monday, March 16, 2020.
Born on March 26, 1945 in Woodstock, Illinois to Catherine and Charles Williams, Dennis then went on to graduate from Janesville Senior High School in 1963.
On November 21, 1964 Dennis married Mary Petitt until they separated in 1988. Dennis then went on to meet Richarda J. Yoakum and they were married on January 24, 1994 in Elroy.
Over the years, Dennis held a variety of occupations, including restaurant manager, truck driver, and a fireman in Sarasota, Florida. Dennis retired from Walker’s Stainless Steel in Elroy.
Dennis enjoyed watching sports, golfing, fishing and bowling. He even accomplished a perfect 300 game along with his son and grandson earning them a spot in the Bowling Hall of Fame. Dennis also had a great sense of adventure and enjoyed traveling. After retirement, Dennis served many years as a chaperone for Able Trek Tours. He also enjoyed his many trips driving for the Amish. Dennis enjoyed visiting new places, seeing the sights, and telling stories of his adventures. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his wife Richarda; his children: Todd Williams, Laurie (Gary) Nelson, Mandy (Eric) Wille, Marcie (Charles) Harwick; his siblings: David (Judy) Williams, Danny (Sherlyn) Williams, DiAnn (Ron) Alger, Steve (Barbara) Williams, Kay (Gary) Randall; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many additional relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Charles, and his nephew Tim Williams.
Services will be held at a later date due to the new COVID-19 regulations. Picha Funeral home of Elroy is assisting the family with arrangements.
